Al Simons (WA1TYB), the Montana Section ARES Emergency Coordinator, sent out a notice of a Storm Spotter training course that will be available via Zoom.

Even if you have taken this training previously, it is always good to get a refresher every year because of things you may have forgotten. Please join us!

Please note that we had a rare opportunity at the 2024 GFAARC Spring Thaw swap meet to have a in-person Storm Spotter training session. The National Weather Service (NWS) provided one of their forecasters to give the presentation on a Saturday morning. Even then, I was told that the NWS was shifting to on-line training courses. So the above listed on-line Storm Spotter Training is the new standard.
