Technician Weekend Review Class

Post by KA2ODP/7 »

The Great Falls Area Amateur Radio Club (GFAARC) is hosting a weekend review class that will cover all the subject areas on the FCC exam for the Technician Class license. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, 1 and 2 April 2017. The location is conference room at the Cascade County DES building, the same place we have our monthly club meetings and VE test sessions.

If you are interested in obtaining your Technician Class Amateur Radio license, or know someone else who is interested, this is the class for you! We will be reviewing every chapter in the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual for the Technician Class license. GFAARC has donated two copies to the base library at Malmstrom AFB. We have also donated two copies to the Great Falls Public Library. This is a very handy book that not only covers all the subject areas on the FCC written exam, but also contains lots of useful information for setting up your first Amateur Radio station.

For more details, please see the attached information poster.

Re: Technician Weekend Review Class

Cam (N7NBB) reported last night at the monthly GFAARC Board Meeting that only one person has contacted him concerning the class. That is not enough to justify the classroom, so we will have to cancel the spring class. The one person interested will be contacted and elmered on a one-to-one basis.

Anyone interested in a Weekend Review Class for the Technician License should still contact Cam (N7NBB) at: hamn7nbb@gmail.com

Cam will make a list and hopefully have enough folks interested that he will do a class sometime this fall. We are pretty flexible on the class dates. It all comes down to having enough people signed-up to make it worthwhile. If folks are busy this spring, no problem. We will just reschedule for the fall.
