QST QST My name is Jerry Gregoire, kd7wlx. On September 11 the Tour de Cure will be held in Bozeman. We need volunteers to help with communications. The Tour is a 23, 56, and 100 mile benefit bike ride sponsored by the American Diabetes Association. The ride begins and ends at the Headwaters State Park near Three Forks, MT. Camping is available at the park and other local sites. If you can help out with comm support please call Jerry at 406 522 7392 or email me at tojerrygregoire(at sign)yahoo(dot)com. We had a great time last year. The Association will pay gas expenses, just save your receipts.

Gold, Silver, or lack of specifies tolerance of 5, 10, or 20%

Take the first two colors, then multiply by 10^(third color)

I cheated and pulled out the reference book though.

I memorized it all in high school. I knew the values, knew the math.. but struggled mightily with the red, brown, black, violet stuff thanks to being color blind.

Once I came to terms with my disability (and bought a DMM) I purged that info since it didn't do me any good anyhow.
